making a home

we have been working since may 2010 to get our house together. well finally, i think we have the living areas downstairs complete. of course our bedroom is in pieces and the real furniture for in there is our next adventure. but i wanted to share some of the things we have done with our downstairs living areas.  our kitchen was the first thing we worked on because you have to have somewhere to eat! then we moved onto a couch and chairs for the living room.  its been a long journey to complete the downstairs and our two newest additions - china cabinet and buffet - have made it complete! our house just feels so much more grown up now.

We got this bakers rack from my grandparents last Christmas. It is in our bedroom and a fun piece to have! This is an older picture..its more decorated now.
